09.30 - 10.15            Visiting the first Natural Mineral Water Museum of the country in Tusnad

10.15 – 11.00           Travel with the bus to Mohos Nature Reserve                            

                                    Education about nature conservation and tourism:

· Visiting Lake Saint Anne volcanic lake (http://szentanna-to.ro/en)

· Short trail to Mohos Marsh

                                 Lake St. Anne and the Mohos Marsh are considered to be unique in Europe. These natural miracles were formed from the two volcanic craters of the Csomad Mountain. In the main volcano's crater at 950 m above sea level is the 464 m diameter Lake and in the second at 1050 m above sea level the Mohos Marsh.

12.30 – 14.00           Visiting the Bathing Resort Balvanyos

The warm baths and mofette from Balvanyos with carbon dioxide, salt, iron are used for treating rheumatic diseases, and the cold baths with mineral water for heart and vascular diseases.

                                                                                          

14.00 – 15.30          Lunch at a local restaurant near Bathing Resort Balvanyos

15.30 – 17.00          Return to Miercurea Ciuc by bus

17.00 – 18.00         Visiting a family and their ecological household in a village near Miercurea Ciuc – learning about sustainable livelihood

18.00 – 19.30         Free time

19.30                      Evening dinner in Miercurea Ciuc

                 

Wednesday, 1^st of May 2013

08.00                         Departure from Miercurea Ciuc to Corund Village (by bus)

10.00 - 11.30           Visiting the pottery fair in Corund Village – presenting the traditional process and technique of making pottery ware out of clay

11.30 - 14.00            Visiting the Salt Gorge Praid Nature Reserve – walk on the nature trail –  

                                    approx. 1 km distance

Education about the Salt Gorge habitat, unique geological formations and conservation

14.00 - 15.00          Lunch at a local restaurant                  

15.00 – 16.30          Transport with bus to Sugo Cave

16.30 – 18.00          Visiting the Sugo Cave (one of the most important caves in the East-Carpathians) and walking a short nature trail (http://www.facebook.com/pages/S%C3%BAg%C3%B3-Barlang-S%C3%BAg%C3%B3-cave-Pestera-S%C3%BAg%C3%B3Sugau/180606921989349)

Education about the Sugo Cave habitat and its surroundings, conservation issues
