La Expo 2008 fue una exposición universal celebrada en nuestra ciudad con el tema del “Agua y desarrollo sostenible. El objetivo de la misma fue promover una nueva cultura del agua basada en la sostenibilidad. Para ello se potenció una nueva cultura del agua basada tanto en avances tecnológicos y nuevos aprovechamientos, como en renovadas fórmulas de gestión y concertación social Las mejoras de la ciudad y todo lo relacionado con las orillas de nuestro río Ebro, fueron sobresalientes
